BACK-TO-SCHOOL SHOPPING MADE EASY AT CROSS COUNTY CENTER šŸŽ’šŸ“š

3 min read

Back-to-school season is officially here — and if you’re anything like us, the list just keeps growing! New sneakers, clothes, backpacks, lunch boxes, water bottles, pencils, glue sticks…and somehow there’s always one more thing you forgot.

This year, we made it easier on ourselves and headed to Cross County Center in Yonkers, where we were able to tackle practically our entire back-to-school list in one trip.

šŸŽÆ FIRST STOP: TARGET

Target was our one-stop shop for all those little essentials that add up FAST.

We found backpacks, lunch boxes, Thermos-style containers, bento boxes, reusable drink cups and water bottles, plus pencils, pens, crayons, notebooks, folders, glue sticks and all the classroom basics.

And right now is a great time to shop. Target is advertising up to 60% off select school supplies, along with deals on kids’ clothing, shoes, backpacks, lunch kits and water bottles. (Target)

šŸ‘Ÿ NEXT UP: KIDS FOOT LOCKER

Of course, we couldn’t start a new school year without a fresh pair of sneakers!

Kids Foot Locker is the stop for sneakers that can keep up with busy school days — whether they’re running around at recess, heading to activities after school or just want something cool and comfortable for everyday wear. You’ll find kids’ styles from brands including Nike and Jordan, with options for toddlers, preschoolers and grade-school kids. (Kids Foot Locker)

šŸ‘• THE CHILDREN’S PLACE

Then it was time to stock the closet.

The Children’s Place is perfect for grabbing those everyday school staples — think pants, tops, layers, uniforms, accessories and backpacks. It’s an easy place to stock up on pieces kids can mix and match throughout the school week.

šŸ‚ GAP KIDS

We also stopped at Gap Kids to start thinking beyond the first day of school and into fall.

Back-to-school shopping isn’t only about what they’re wearing in September! We like grabbing pieces they can transition into cooler weather — long sleeves, sweaters, pants and easy layering pieces that will carry them through the season.

šŸ¦ AND YES…WE TOOK A SHOPPING BREAK!

One of my favorite things about doing our back-to-school shopping at Cross County Center was that it didn’t have to feel like one long shopping marathon.

When it was time for a break, we stopped for something to eat, grabbed cold drinks and lemonade to cool down, and of course had to squeeze in a little ice cream.

And the best part for kids? The children’s play area! Cross County Center’s directory includes a dedicated children’s play area, so we were able to give our little shopper a chance to put down the bags, run around and have some fun before we continued. (Cross County Center)

ā¤ļø ONE TRIP. ONE PLACE. BACK-TO-SCHOOL DONE.

That’s what made this shopping trip so convenient.

Target for supplies and lunch essentials.
Kids Foot Locker for sneakers.
The Children’s Place for everyday school clothes.
Gap Kids for wardrobe staples and fall layers.

Add in restaurants, treats, a play break for the kids and free parking, and you can turn that never-ending back-to-school checklist into an actual family day out.
