Felice Port Chester: Tuscan Flavors, Negroni Week & One Incredible Dining Experience

5 min read

If you’re looking for an Italian restaurant in Port Chester, New York that delivers on food, cocktails, atmosphere, and genuinely great hospitality, put Felice Port Chester on your list.

We recently visited Felice, and this was one of those dinners where every course seemed to get better. From the appetizers and entrées to the cocktails and dessert, there were so many flavors happening throughout the meal and the service and hospitality made the entire experience even more memorable.

Felice is a family-owned restaurant group inspired by Tuscany, with locations throughout New York as well as Connecticut and Florida. The restaurant describes its approach as a combination of traditional Italian cooking, handmade pasta, seasonal ingredients, Tuscan hospitality, and an extensive wine program that includes wines from its own organic vineyard, Fattoria Sardi, in Tuscany.

And Westchester has its very own location right in downtown Port Chester.

Negroni Week Is Here: September 21–27, 2026

This week is an especially fun time to visit. Negroni Week runs September 21 through September 27, 2026, celebrating one of Italy’s most iconic cocktails.

At Felice, it’s the perfect excuse to experience a night built around Tuscan flavors, seasonal dishes, pasta, wine, and, of course, a Negroni.

We tried the Ichnos Negroni, and this was easily one of the highlights of the night. It’s made with Yola Mezcal, Antica Formula, Galliano Aperitivo and Mirto. The mezcal gives it a smoky character that makes it such an interesting twist on the traditional bittersweet Negroni. If you already love Negronis but want to try something a little different, this is the one I’d order.

What We Ate at Felice Port Chester

We started with the Ricotta, and do not skip this one. Fresh ricotta is paired with Italian linden spicy honey, figs and sliced almonds and served with toasted Tuscan bread. It has that perfect combination of creamy, sweet, spicy and crunchy.

Next came the Tuna Tartare, prepared with yellowfin tuna, caper berries, olives, pepperoncino oil and yellowfin tuna sauce. It was fresh, flavorful and a great contrast to the richness of the ricotta.

Then came the Prosciutto Toscana pizza with fresh mozzarella, San Marzano tomato sauce, arugula, sliced Parmesan and oregano. It hits everything you want from an Italian pizza: salty prosciutto, creamy mozzarella, bright tomato and peppery arugula.

But if this is your first visit to Felice, make room for the entrées.

The Branzino al Cartoccio is one I HIGHLY recommend. Felice’s version features oven-roasted Mediterranean sea bass with Yukon Gold potatoes, capers, cherry tomatoes, olives, braised shallots, parsley and roasted lemon. The restaurant itself lists Branzino al Cartoccio among its signature classics.

We also had the Cotoletta alla Bolognese, a crispy breaded veal loin topped with prosciutto cotto, Parmesan, oregano and classic béchamel. Rich, crispy, savory and incredibly satisfying.

And definitely don’t overlook the pastas. Felice is rooted in Tuscan inspired Italian cooking, and handmade pasta is central to the restaurant group’s concept.

Save Room for the Felice Signature Gelato

Now let me tell you about dessert, because this wasn’t just dessert,it became its own little experience.

We finished with the Felice Signature Gelato, inspired by the original recipe of Bernardo Buontalenti. Rich, creamy gelato came with accompaniments including candied pistachios and strawberry compote, and we tried it with a drizzle of olive oil and a pinch of flaky sea salt before adding chocolate.

That sweet-salty combination with the richness of the gelato was SO good. It was the perfect way to end the meal and honestly, the perfect dinner to close out summer and welcome fall.

The Atmosphere & Service

The food was excellent, but what really stood out to me was the hospitality.

Our service was beyond phenomenal. Everything felt warm, attentive and polished without feeling stuffy. It’s the kind of place that works just as well for date night as it does for dinner with friends, a celebration or a special family meal.

And the Port Chester location itself is beautiful. Felice occupies a 7,600-square-foot restored former grain warehouse dating back to 1903, with original brick walls, vaulted ceilings, large windows, warm lighting, natural materials and Tuscan-inspired design details.

Between the ambiance, cocktails, wine, appetizers, entrées, sides and dessert, Felice genuinely wowed us from beginning to end.
